Saturday, March 29th, 2008 ...Banff was life-changing. Members of Ohbijou and Gigi, producers Tony Berg and Howard Bilerman, engineer (and greatest guy in the world) Shawn Everett, program heads Theresa Leonard and Barry Shiffman, engineers (!): we sincerely love you all like whoa.

Saturday, January 19th, 2008 We've been accepted to the Banff Centre's first ever Indie Music Residency program! At the end of February, we'll be heading out there, eating ginger beef like it's going out of style (damned vegans!), rehearsing like we've never rehearsed before, and starting to work on getting some brand new tunes onto tape. We might be all about the Albertans cookin' the steaks fat-in, but we'll be trimmin' the fat on the songs. The whole experience will be made, er, whole, by our favourite person, and Mile-End Co-Ed Ball Hockey League President, Howard Bilerman. Oh, and feel free to check out the brand new samples from our upcoming album.

Friday, December 21st, 2007 The Adam Brown has been laying low (but never laying down). Lightnin' Lightnin' was sent from small town Pointe-Claire in the West Island to the appropriately named West West Side Music in big town New York. Alan Douches and Kim Rosen, who mastered some of our (and your?) favourite records, twiddled the knobs and made it all sound delicious. Happy Holidays to y'all!

Best X-Mas Present Ever? We've got ourselves a brand new drummer in Iris P. Campo. The story of how she joined the band can be found on our myspace apge.

We just recorded the last two songs for Lightnin' Lightnin' at Stockmarket Sound w/ Adrian Popovich. We're gonna' finalize the mixes on those and get this sucker mastered.

Oh, and Adam Brown's playing his yearly solo show, this one for a very special cause (see above).

The boys did a 30-minute interview while at NXNE, previewed their upcoming album and spun some of their favourite tunes on upforsale Radio. You can hear it here.

Thanks so much to everyone who came to the MIMI Alex Soria Fountains Award show for most promising local songwriter. Much to our surprise, we actually came home as the winners, with Land of Talk taking the runner-up spot. That said, all of the bands were amazing, with Yonder Hill (in my opinion) stealing the show.

Our debut 11 song album -- "Lightnin' Lightnin'" -- is all recorded, has been mixed, and is being mastered on Wednesday. The tentative tracklisting is:
1) Silly Boy
2) A Subject of Affection
3) I Can't Sleep Tonight
4) Work All Dying Days
5) Hungry, Thirsty
6) It Surrounds Me
7) Give Back My Heart (Featuring Basia Bulat)
8) Lightnin' Lightnin' (Featuring Jenna Roker from the Sunday Sinners)
9) Rain Drops
10) Oh No Jen
11) Big Roker

A whole bunch of new shows announced! Most importantly, May 17th will be the last show Marc-Andre plays with us. Fittingly, its a show which will determine the winner of the Alex Soria Fountains Award for the most promising local songwriter as part of the annual MIMI Festival. Fittingly because he missed our last show due to him winning an award at the JUTRAS. Also, we'll be playing with the best party band in the world, King Khan & his Shrines. Come and shake your booty hole.

Our debut album as The Adam Brown is being mixed at the end of April, mastered at the beginning of May, and out in the summertime. It'll be called Lightnin' Lightnin'.

The legendary Bobby Bulat (www.bobbybulat.com) shot some video of our Wavelength show and chopped it to go along with our new tune, Big Roker. You can view it in the Audio/Video section.

Thank you so incredibly much to everyone who came out to the show we played to try to help raise funds to buy back some stolen gear ($2000 of equipment was stolen from us after our POP Montreal show with Japan's Zoobombs). There's no way we could ever thank you all enough! That was the best night we've ever had as a band, in every imaginable way. We owe you our life as a band.

We burned a few CD-Rs of 5 demos and rehearsals for the upcoming album -- it made its way over to CISM Radio, and after a day there, cracked the Top 30 charts, so far peaking at #2 (!) after 11 straight weeks in the top 30. They're only available at shows, though we're packing them for free with all internet orders (www.wibirecords.com) of the debut disc. Get 'em before they're gone (read: SOON!). Two new demos (from that CD-R) have been uploaded to the site: 'Give Back My Heart' and 'Hungry Thirsty For You.' The band will be heading into the studio soon to record a full-length...it should be done in June/July and available in early September.

The debut disc is still available (though in dwindling numbers -- and once they're gone, they're GONE) for order using Paypal at WIBI Records (www.wibirecords.com).
